National Highway NH717A, a new gateway to Sikkim, bypassing Coronation Bridge and NH10 is nearing completion Construction work on the alternative highway NH717A which will provide a direct route from West Bengal to Sikkim  is progressing fast . It will bypass Coronation Bridge (Bagh Pool) and NH10. This strategic highway begins in Bagrakot, West Bengal (NH17), and concludes at Ranipool in Sikkim. Once completed, NH717A will serve as a vital route through India’s northeastern borders, enhancing connectivity near Bhutan, China, and Bangladesh.
