Chandigarh has more vehicles than its own human population in June 2025

Image
Chandigarh has officially crossed a unique milestone - the city now has more vehicles than its own human population in June 2025!  With 14.27 lakh vehicles and a human population of around 13 lakh, Chandigarh has the highest vehicle density in the country. Between 2020 and May 2025 alone, over 2 lakh new vehicles were registered — averaging 104 new vehicles every single day. Adding to the traffic challenge, thousands of old vehicles have also been granted extensions to stay on roads. This rapid surge highlights the city’s love for wheels but also raises serious questions on traffic congestion, pollution, and road safety. . . .  * Indian Roadie News  * Punjab Roadie  * Delhi NCR Roadie  * How India Travels

Importance of Oxygen Sensor

Image
Importance of Oxygen Sensor in a modern day car.  Oxygen sensor function:  The oxygen sensor is a vital part of the car emission control system. It is used to measure the percentage of oxygen in the exhaust gases coming out of the engine. Based on these measurements, the sensor sends signals to the electronic control unit (ECU) to adjust the amount of fuel and air entering the engine, which contributes to improving fuel consumption and reducing harmful emissions. Oxygen sensor malfunctions:  Some symptoms appear that may indicate a malfunction in the oxygen sensor, the most important of which are: 1. Increased fuel consumption: When the oxygen sensor malfunctions, it can send false signals that lead to an increase in the amount of fuel injected into the engine. 2. Poor engine performance: The driver may notice a weak engine response or a slowdown in acceleration due to the fuel ratio not being properly regulated. 3. Harmful emissions: A malfunction of the oxygen sensor le...

Indian Roadie Adv Abhijit Sarkar was close to my house for some professional assignment on Saturday, 2025-06-14. He called me at 1 pm to check my readiness to meet up for a short adda.  In slightly over an hour's time we were there at the Arun's Ice Cream parlour at CIT Road in Beliaghata, Kolkata, barely one km away from my residence. Abhijit's Ford Ecosport was sporting two shining and eye catching Indian Roadie Stickers on  the rear windshield.  It was a nice, short and impromptu #IndianRoadieGTG with Abhijit after a long time.  Friends, where ever you are in India, your car should be sporting the smart set of #IndianRoadieStickers. It's only at times of extreme need, you will realize what being proactive in #IndianRoadie means! #OrderIndianRoadieStickers now.

Dhubri-Phulbari Bridge over Brahmaputra River is under construction

The Dhubri-Phulbari Bridge is an under-construction four lane extradosed cable stay bridge over the Brahmaputra River between Assam and Meghalaya in North-East India. Toyota launched the Lexus LS 400 in 1989

Image
When Toyota launched the Lexus LS 400 in 1989, it wasn’t just introducing a new car — it was launching a brand aimed at redefining luxury through engineering. The LS 400 came after six years of secret development, with over 60 designers, 1,400 engineers, and $1 billion invested into what would become one of the most iconic sedans ever built. This wasn’t about beating competitors — it was about building a machine that could operate with quiet confidence for decades.  That vision paid off. The LS 400 stunned automotive journalists and buyers alike with its near-silent V8 engine, flawless build quality, and unmatched ride comfort. Its launch sent shockwaves through the German luxury car industry, proving Japan could not only compete — it could lead.  Today, the LS 400 is often remembered as the car that forced luxury automakers to rethink everything from pricing to reliability.  * Indian Roadie Recollection
