Kuthiran Tunnel on NH47 connecting Palakkad with Thrissur in Kerala open to public in early August 2021


The construction of the long awaited Kuthiran Tunnel on NH47 connecting Palakkad with Thrissur in Kerala has finally been completed and thrown open to public in August 2021. 
More than an hour's journey time will be saved because of this pathbreaking development.

A container truck supposedly had a brake failure on the Mumbai bound flank of Pune-Mumbai Expressway, just after the Khopoli Exit which resulted in a 22 vehicle pile up at around 3 pm on Saturday 2025-07-26.
